JUBALSON started in 2009 as Brian Ott, Phil Turner and Emily Vacek. Brian and Phil first started playing together in high school. Emily joined them when she met Brian at the University of Louisville. She joined the band the next summer and in 2010 they went into the studio to record their EP ‘Wake’. Their debut album ‘come back son’ was released May 27th 2011. Emily moved away, sadly, the following summer. The remaining members are now recording Jubalson’s second LP due out in the Fall, 2012.
BRIAN OTT has been playing music since he was 13. After writing songs for 6 years, he finally started playing out in local coffee shops for tips. When the time came to record he called on his good friend, Philip Turner and fellow singer Emily Vacek and together they recorded 4 songs at Chance Cube Studio. Brian hopes to continue to be able to write and record music for as long as God allows.
PHIL TURNER comes out of a family of talented musicians and is carrying on that tradition. He’s played with many bands over the years and currently resides in Nashville, TN.
